Mike Rainey, Sheriff
Cullman County Alabama
In order to carry a weapon concealed on one's person, one must obtain a pistol permit from the sheriff of the county in which he resides. Pistol permits are issued for a one-year to five-year time period, and cost $15 per year. In order to receive a permit, one must deliver a completed application, along with the fee and proper identification to the Sheriff's Office. Every Sheriff in Alabama takes the Oath of Office to support the Constitution of the United States (which includes the 2nd Amendment) and the Constitution of Alabama of 1901 (which includes Article I, Section 26). The Sheriffs support the laws of the land, as they expect all of the citizens of Alabama to do.
